Everything an employer wonders before hiring a non-EU worker.

Who must submit the single permit application?
It's the employer (or their agent) who files the application, not the worker. If your company has no establishment in Belgium, you are legally required to appoint a Belgian provider registered with the NSSO (ONSS) — that's our role.
Is my candidate eligible?
It depends on the region, the role and the salary: shortage occupation, highly skilled profile, EU Blue Card, intra-corporate transfer… That's what our free check is for: in 15 minutes you know whether the case is viable.
In which Region must the file be submitted?
Based on the worker's main place of employment: Wallonia (SPW), Brussels-Capital (Brussels Economy & Employment), Flanders or the German-speaking Community. We cover the whole of Belgium.
How long does the procedure take?
The region has a maximum of 120 days once the file is complete. With a well-built file, we get the decision within 1 to 2 months. An incomplete file can double these timelines.
What is the difference between the single permit and a work permit?
The classic work permit no longer exists for employment of more than 90 days: it has been merged with the residence permit into the single permit. So a single permit application is what must be filed.
Can you also handle the contract and payroll?
Yes. Persoproject is a social secretariat (bureau social): we draft the contract, file the Dimona and run payroll. One single contact from the permit to the first payslip.
Can the candidate start before the permit is issued?
Only from the positive decision. An annex 49 may authorise starting work while waiting for the electronic card. Without it, the employment is illegal — and the penalties are heavy.
What happens at renewal?
The renewal must be requested between 4 months and 1 month before expiry. We alert you in time and prepare the file with no interruption of activity. After 2 to 4 years, an unlimited permit can be requested.
In which languages do you support us?
In French, Dutch, English, Arabic, Italian and Spanish — a rare asset for single permit cases.
